Having a reliable garage door seal and weather seal is crucial to keeping out snow, leaves, water, and other elements. If you have an uneven garage floor, using a larger bottom seal can help close off gaps and maintain insulation.
To replace your garage door bottom seal, start by lifting the door to about 6 ft. high and removing the old seal. Clean the track by scraping off dirt and corrosion, then straighten it to make installation easier. Lubricate the rubber gasket with a soapy mixture to facilitate installation.
Our rubber seals are made of durable black EPDM synthetic rubber, which is more flexible and resistant to extreme weather temperatures ranging from -40 to 240 degrees. They have passed tests for low temperature flexibility, aging resistance, and bottom anti-seepage.
For easy installation, align the track with the rubber strip and plug in the T-end side rubber at one end. Squeeze in the other T-end side and install it step by step with the aid of a screwdriver.
