Flexible Quarter Round Moulding - 8' Straight

Duraflex Flexible Moulding in Stain Grade (Oak) is a moisture-proof material that can withstand extreme temperatures without warping, cracking, or deteriorating. This seamless construction has no lamination defects and is suitable for both interior and exterior use. The material, which is beige in color, can be easily installed using standard woodworking equipment to cut, sand, shape, and finish like wood. It is recommended to use polyurethane construction adhesive and pneumatic pin nailing for fastening, with the addition of tape or clamps to help secure the material in place while the adhesives bond. It is important to install the Flexible Moulding first in a relaxed, non-tensile state and to keep nails at a minimum distance of 3/8” from any edge. For the best results, Loctite PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive is recommended.

When cutting the material, it can be shaped and sanded with standard woodworking equipment. It is important to note that the wood grain on the Stain grade material is only on the surface and will be eliminated if sanded. Primer coats are not recommended for painting; water-based Acrylic Latex Paint is suggested. When using Alkyd Enamels, an exterior primer such as Kilz is required, and additional drying time may be necessary. It is advised not to paint the material before installation, as the flexibility of the material may cause the paint to crack during installation.
